Shipping Policy
Processing Time All orders are processed within 1-3 business days. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or public holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, processing may be delayed by a few days. We will notify you via email if there is a significant delay.
Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates Shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout. We’ve integrated the Mainfreight 2Home service into our store, so the rates shown are real-time charges with no extra handling fees added. Delivery timeframes vary depending on your location:
- New Zealand (North Island): 2–5 business days
- New Zealand (South Island): 3–7 business days
- International: 10–21 business days (where available)
Freight & Large Items Due to the size and weight of our gates and fencing products, they are only delivered to a physical address (no PO boxes) and may require someone to be present to receive the delivery. You will be contacted to arrange a suitable delivery time by Mainfreight 2Home as soon as they are ready to deliver.
Order Tracking Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to update, and you can also track the orders here
Damaged or Lost Shipments If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us at sales@xgate.co.nz within 5 days of the expected delivery date. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Return Policy
Cooling off period
We accept a 14-day no reason return, provided the item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

The returning cost is solely on you. The freight cost is non-refundable. Returned products will incur a 15% restocking fee if you prefer a cash or bank refund to cover our costs. However, there’s no restocking fee if you choose store credit instead.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
We only accept return of kitset if above criteria is met, assembled gates and fences are exempt. We reserve the right to decline any return if parts are missing so please make sure all parts are in the box.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
