  • The Gate Width & Overlap Guide – The selectable width represents the total manufactured width of the gate leaf. To determine the right width for your opening, you'll need to account for the required overlap:

Manual gate: Allow 100mm overlap — so a 3227mm gate covers a gap of up to 3127mm

Electric gate: Allow 300mm overlap — so a 3227mm gate covers a gap of up to 2927mm

Processing Time All orders are processed within 1-3 business days. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or public holidays.

Freight & Large Items Due to the size and weight of our gates and fencing products, they are only delivered to a physical address (no PO boxes) and may require someone to be present to receive the delivery. You will be contacted to arrange a suitable delivery time by Mainfreight 2Home as soon as they are ready to deliver.

 

Order Tracking Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to update, and you can also track the orders here

 

Damaged or Lost Shipments If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us at sales@xgate.co.nz within 5 days of the expected delivery date. We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Return Policy

Cooling off period
We accept a 14-day no reason return, provided the item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

The returning cost is solely on you. The freight cost is non-refundable. Returned products will incur a 15% restocking fee if you prefer a cash or bank refund to cover our costs. However, there’s no restocking fee if you choose store credit instead.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
We only accept return of kitset if above criteria is met, assembled gates and fences are exempt. We reserve the right to decline any return if parts are missing so please make sure all parts are in the box.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Share a link of a cheaper product you have seen, we'll beat it by 5%. Premium quality shouldn't mean higher price.

Price Match Rules & Conditions

  • Matching Specs: The gate and fencing products should be made from the same aluminum material, with similar dimensions and in similar patterns. The automation products should also be of the same brand and model.
  • Locally Stocked: Items must be for sale from New Zealand based retailers and available in stock in New Zealand at the time the price match request is made.
  • Excluded Items: Items on sale, clearance, liquidation, auctioned, pre-owned, from third-party marketplace sellers (like TradeMe personal sellers, though genuine in-trade sellers are included), parallel imports (typically without local warranty), and special event pricing (such as at the Home Show).
  • No Combined Offers: The price should be the standard retail price, not a bundled offer or any similar format.
  • XGATE Verification: We reserve the right to review the submitted evidence within 2 working days and may decline a price match request if the criteria aren’t met and will provide written feedback to the requester.
